Hello to all.
Judith, I also sculpt, so I go further back than Pentax. I was using an ax before the Japanese used pent. My first slr, a Pentax was bought in Aden in 1960 and since then I upgraded regularly. My Spotmatic died in 1997, when I left it out in a tropical storm in Australia. I have a film still in m...

Hello from Tonbridge
I've just part exchanged my new Olympus E620 with 50mm F2 MACRO and gone back to Pentax (which were my first camera(s)an MX amd ME super)and bought myself the SMC FA31mm f1.8 ltd in silver. I'm now interested in the 77mm lens but my wife thinks I should actually get a decent body (which she's always...

First DSLR owner from Devon
Hello Just bought my first DSLR, Km with twin DAL lenses after owning a few compacts and film SLR a good couple of years back. Looking forward to getting out there and snapping away! Hoping to get a polarizing filter pretty soon. With these cheap lenses is it worth spending out on the Hoya pro...

Hello from the Western Isles...
...Gateway to Rockall. Hi, I've been a 'lurker' for a couple of years now: since the shutter release fell off my aged MX and I bought a K10D, in fact. I'm not normally a forum-joiner, but I've kept coming back to this one, so I sneaked up on myself and joined at last. And then didn't say hello....

K-m First Pictures...
Hello Phil and welcome. As you have noticed the default output from your K-m is quite different from your Panasonic, this is actually quite deliberate and shouldn't be a concern - let me explain. With (nearly all) compact and bridge cameras the assumption from the manufacturer is that the phot...

...but actually a long time Pentax user. I can't remember when I got my first camera but it was a few years back - a Pentax S1a! I've went through a few more 35mm film cameras since then, all of which I think will still be in the loft somewhere, before I bought my first digital - K100D - a coup...

Indecisions...
Hi Duane, Last time I went to Birmingham (month or so back), Jacobs had one in the window. They may be worth a try. Good luck! PS - how do you like the E900? We still have one too, and have got some pretty good shots out of it.

Hullo everyone!
Hi y'all, Having owned an ME-Super and MV many years ago, I've just got myself back into the fold buying a K2000(K-m) together with the 18-55 and 50-200 Pentax lenses. Really pleased so far, looking for a flash now... any ideas? What's the advantage of using the dedicated Pentax flashes over an...

A new happy go lucky K-7 user
Thanks, the forum is really friendly. I am a real beginner in photography, although I have had a 35mm camera for many years virtually all my photos have been taken while mountaineering. Usually on a mountain I am too tired and pre-occupied to think about what I am doing, so it has mainly been poi...
