Hi From Canada

Welcome to the forum JudithAnn - I'm sure you'll look back on the pictures you take with the K-m just as fondly as you do those taken with the K1000 :D

Greetings from the desert

Last year I became the owner of a K10D and was directed to this website. Today I was back again and realized that I had never joined. (The reference to "desert" is the US Southwest . . . near Phoenix, Arizona) John Blair

Snapper from Cwmbran wales

Welcome aboard - hope you enjoy being here! Almost all macro lenses are great optics so I'm sure that you'll find one that suits. Don't forget there are lots of second hand manual focus Pentax ones that are very compact and just as good as the current AF ones. Very often manual focus is more conv...

Fat fingered Mancunian in the house.....

Hi all, I'm John, from Manchester (UK) who spent the first 10 years of his working life wandering around the world jumping from contract to contract; then decided there really was no place like home! (although I'm still kicking myself for not being into photography back then - so many missed shots!)...

Hello from the "Palz"

I'm an proud owner of a K100D Super and this camera enables me to take pictures I never have dreamed about in the film era. I bought my first Pentax, a Spotmatic, way back in 1963 but somehow never made it a serious business. Now I'm after all the life in our garden and look forward to spring and th...

Hello all. New member here.

Thanks everyone! In looking at your lists of cameras and lenses it looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. So far, I just have the kit-lens 18-55 II and just recently picked up a Pentax 50-200 for a song on Craigslist. (oh ,and also bought the Pentax 360 flash). I took the 50-200 out to the...

K200D Image Stabliser Problem

Hi, Thanks to you all for your welcome and comments. I took the camera to Jessops and they diagnosed the problem. I then took it to the London Camera Exchange to send back to Pentax for a quote. The problem is, it didn't clunk when I first had it. The clunk came on almost overnight, I had been prac...

K200D Image Stabliser Problem

Hi Peter, I did try some test shots in the house, which looked OK on the camera but I don't think that is always a realiable check, however, as I was going on Safari, I didn't want to risk taking the camera only to find that all the shots were out of focus, which was what Jessops said might happe...

Hi and hello to all from sunny N.Wales. (yes it is raining at the mo' !) I ventured into the world of DSLR's late last year and bought myself a K10. Regrets ? none. It's a solid piece of kit and as I'm out and about in all weathers the camera always feels capable of coping. I mainly enjoy landsc...
