This issue is largely solved by lightly applying pressure on the focus ring when its turning- it works every time for me. Same here, but bloody annoying that you have to do it:lol: John

I read about the focus-locking issue, and can say with certainty I've never had any problems there. I was thinking more of the total SDM failures which were common on the (early batches at least) of the *16-50. Anyone experienced that problem with a 17-70 or other single-focus SDM lens?

PM sent to underlay74. As I am now back in Spain after 4 weeks in the UK (in which I´d hoped to sell all three lenses), I will need to add a further £5 to the cost to cover postage. The 28mm is the only item still available, so the updated price will be £50 delivered in Europe.
