Pentacon 500mm for Pentax 6x7 + anamorphic lens

I have for sale a beautiful Pentacon/Meyer Optik 500mm f5.6 adapted for Pentax 6x7. The work was done by a very good photo mechanic, with the 6x7 flange machined from a good quality aluminium block. The back of the lens was machined accordingly, to get infinity focus. The lens comes with its origi...

FS: Tamron SP AF 24-135mm F3.5-5.6 Macro AD Aspherical 50th Anniversary

This is a very good lens, with a great range, even on crop sensor, on FF it'd be a killer. Compared to the Sigma 17-70mm, it holds up very well. Although the sigma might get ahead in sharpness, particularly at 24mm, the tammy has proven more consistent in focus. Plus it is FF and has a great range....

Steve, I saw one of these with a BIN price of £399 a while back. It didn't sell and was re-listed at £299 I think. It sold in a heart beat. These are almost giveaway prices now. I won't be going any lower.

Wanted: Bokeh Monster

I believe the Gentleman is referring to an old Pentacon 135mm f2.8 with a 16 blade iris, that has gained something of a reputation on the interweb thingy, for producing remarkable out of focus rendering.

Wanted: Bokeh Monster

I had one of these about a year ago. Got it on ebay for about £30, put it on ebay again 6 months later for 99p, and 10 days later it sold to a Taiwanese buyer for £130  It was okay, a bit soft wide open, but pretty good stopped down a bit. I got rid of it because it was too heavy, and the ...

Wanted: Bokeh Monster

the mount is so small that all the contacts on your camera are visible (which also means catch-in-focus doesn't work, and that was important to me at the time). Hmm... maybe I'll look at the other lenses on the lots-of-aperture-blades list I came across.

Wanted: Bokeh Monster

Good Bokeh doesn't just come from the number or roundish of the aperture blades the optical elements are far more important in this matter. The "dots" the lens paints need to feather at the edge to get a very soft blur. Here you can see it, it are Sony lenses though, sadly Pentax don't have the ...

Wanted: Pentax 50 or 100mm Macro lens

Remember that there is (almost) no such thing as a bad macro lens, so extend your search to Ricoh, Cosina, Vivitar Series 1, etc. In fact, since you will often want to set your own aperture and focus manually, there is no good reason to avoid M42 lenses. G

Wanted: Pentax 50 or 100mm Macro lens

I would look for a good old manual focus lens. Auto focus not terribly useful for macro anyway. Tamron 90s are pretty easy to come by in the price range you are looking at (the earliest Adaptall 2 ones are 1:2 instead of 1:1 but perform very well with the matched SP teleconverter). Vivitar made t...

24mm PK-A Macro

Well, my addiction to fast glass has brought me a lovely Sigma 18-50mm EX DC Macro f2.8, so I've got a lot of overlap on my wide end now. Up for sale because of that is my Miranda 24mm f2.8 Macro. It's in great shape, aperture clicks at every stop, and has fully functional auto aperture functions....

24mm PK-A Macro

When it says macro just how macro is that? If the numbers/guide on the focus ring is something to go on it would be around 1:6 and that's just under 0,2 meter focus distance 1:5 would be 0,175 meter. If Whelmed would give me an exact number I could tell you precisely.

Pentax K10D with some accessories

You can check if it's on by turning on the camera, and getting a focus lock. If the little hand shows up in the eyepiece - it's on. If not, it's off.
