I am interested in theprime 500mm will it work on a k10d and 20d and will it auto focus and could i have some photos of it and photos taken with it. Cheers
The first AF series Pentax lenses were the F series. This lens pre-dates that series by a very long time so no, it will not auto-focus by itself I'm afraid.
It can be made to auto focus by adding a Pentax F 1.7X AF Teleconverter though and I have used the two together on occasions.
You can see the lens spcifications here.
In use, the lens with a K10/20D body attached is extremely well balanced making it much easier to use than the 135-600mm zoom I had before it.
This lens was supplied used by SRS about 1 year ago and it has seen little real use since then.
If you are a serious wildlife photographer, this lens will serve you well and it's a lot cheaper than the Sigma 500mm prime.

I have found a SMCP-FA 28-80mm lens which will be included with the MZ-6 for £65 including delivery. I have also added a battery grip (Pentax FG - takes 4 x AA cells) for £25.
Buy the MZ-6 (incl strap & manual), FA28-80mm, and grip for £80 delivered.
If any of you wants to try your hand at film work, this is an exceptionally good camera. It is also capable of utilising the wireless and P-TTL features of the AF360/540FGZ flashes. It's mount is not 'crippled' so even your old Tak's and pre-A series lenses can be used with it. This body can also use the later FA-J & DA lenses which have no aperture ring because the aperture can be set on the body. That's something that the MZ-S cannot do.
I'll be taking the 500mm with me when I visit my sister in Cornwall this weekend and will hopefully return with some images taken with it.

Long distances guesstimated with the help of Google Earth.
Any focussing issues are down to my poor technique and a less than sturdy (borrowed) tripod and not the lens.
Farming activity - Straight line distance approx. 1/2 mile

Caradon Hill TV Mast (Cornwall) - Straight line distance approx. 2.5 miles

Disused engine houses - Straight line distance approx. 2.5 miles

Blackbird at about 20 yards

The birds are Buzzards at about 1/2 mile and they are in the shot by pure accident

These and the remainder of the images can be seen here.

Marked around the edge of the hood; "Standard Lens 1:1.4 50mm 1:1.8-2 55mm". On the opposite side is marked "Asahi Opt. Co. Japan" & "49Ø" (49 theta - which indicates 49mm)
I used it on a SMCP-A 1:1.7 50mm and a SMCP-F 1:1.7 50mm lens. I think it was originally made for the SMCP 1:1.8 55mm or even the Takumar M42 lens of the same size.
Both hood and case are in very good condition. You are welcome to come and have a look, I'm in High Wycombe for the next couple of weeks.
By an extraordinary stroke of luck I've managed to bag an original metal hood for my Takumar 58 (46mm thread), which means my poor 28mm is now the only lens in my collection that doesn't have a hood of its own...
I really should scan eBay again I suppose.
