Pentax K-3 Mark III Remote Shutter Control
Remotes normally need a line of sight with the little sensor on the body, but other options for which this doesn’t apply are: Image sync to phone/tablet by Bluetooth. This will also let you operate exposure settings and select a focus point. Radio connection. I don’t know the options for Pentax bu...

M42 > K mount adapters back in the day.
These can be expensive items today - but they were pretty expensive 'back in the day' !

M42 > K mount adapters back in the day.
I still have mine. Works as well today as when I bought it over 40 years ago. Expensive...maybe. Value for money ...definitely.

My 420mm Refractor Astro Rig
The plus side is, that entire rig cost about £1200... so about a couple of hundred quid cheaper!:mrgreen: PS.... £1440 if I include the KS2 That's a lot cheaper than I'd have guessed. For the results you're getting, I'd say it was money well spent. I bet a Death Star would set you back a...

SMC Pentax-M 135mm f3.5 a cracking little lens
After trying out my Pentax-M SMC 50mm f1.7 the other day, I decided to try out my Pentax-M SMC 135mm f3.5 as well. I actually found this lens easier to focus than the 50mm, which could be due to the higher magnification. Great sharpness with this lens as well I have found. :)

An A*200/4 Macro ED
....and once you've recovered from drooling over the macro capabilities, you might even find that it's a very capable longer focus 200mm lens :) I look forward to many more posts from you and this lens

You'll find the macro focus rail makes life so much easier  - the Manfrotto is particularly goo IMO, shame you've ordered one - I have a spare that I was going to list

An A*200/4 Macro ED
So.... The Manfrotto 454 is definitely well built and very good if you are wanting precise positioning to take a single shot. However, if you want to take a series of shots with the plane of focus moved by a specific amount each time (i.e. for focus stacking) then you will need a rack which has been...

An A*200/4 Macro ED
I have a couple of Pentax focus racks from the 1960s. I use them, but they are rather basic in design and showing their age. I keep thinking about investing in a newer model. Mostly I photograph things that don't move, and I use it quite often now for photographing 35mm slides. PS dead jealous...

The two A series 28-80mm lenses side by side
On the left is a bog standard Pentax-A zoom 28-80mm such as was found on thousands of P30 cameras back in the day. It's OK but that's about it. On the right is an SMC Pentax-A zoom 28-80mm. Seen alone one can easily confuse the two. Seen together they are clearly different - and so are the result...

New arrivals this morning
What a nice trio of Pentax lenses Robbie - the 24 and 35 are both true masters of their generation, solidly built, beautifully smooth focus, and still produce lovely images. The soft focus 85mm is a strange beast, I'm not a big fan of it at wider apertures (although there was a significant following...

New arrivals this morning
The 85 is a bit weird. It'll take me a while to figure out. 35/3.5 is a little gem. I had the Takumar version back in the day and it works nicely alongside the K-3iiiM K-3iii Monochrome & SMC Pentax 35/3.5 K-1 & SMC Pentax-F85/2.8 Soft (a few minutes ago :))

New arrivals this morning
The K 35/3.5 is a very nice lens. The copy I have belonged to my grandmother and was used on her K1000 back when my siblings and I were kids and most of the photos of us as children were taken on it I imagine. I have the S-M-C Takumar version of the 24/3.5 and while the corners aren't great it's...

I finally have a 20-40mm Ltd
250 for that lens is a real bargain - the 20-40mm is the lens I miss the most of those I've sold even though I didn't own it for long and my copy had some front/back focus problems (which you should check for on your copy). It's not particularly fast but image quality is stellar and it's the clos...

The Last Of Their Lines
Nice collection. I did have an *ist for a short while but beyond holding on to it as a collectors item I really did not get along with it so sold it a few years back.

The Last Of Their Lines
You need to add a P30T to that collection, last manual focus introduced? And a 645Z and a 67ii
