I always thought the sensor was only as good as the lens, just my opinion

Thanks John, mainly portraiture and Pets, although i do like Macro photography i am thinking of photo's of family and friends.

Will be for Portraits and Pet Photography McGregNi and will be generally on camera till i get used to the Pentax brand, I mainly take photo's for friends and family so not into making money or doing anything professional at the moment. I have done several weddings in the past with my Canon gear but don't want to jump into that again until i have some experience with the K-S2.

Buying a K-S2 and will be wanting an external flash in the coming weeks, can anyone recommend one that isn't over expensive.

Waiting on my K-S2 to be delivered and while i wait like to look at lenses that are good with the K-S2, am looking for a fixed prime lens that's not to expensive. I have heard some of the older lenses are pretty good such as the Takamur 135, just looking for advice really.

I am new to Pentax, saying that i had an old Pentax film camera many years ago. Been a Canon user since the early days of digital but decided to change to Pentax, thought of changing to Nikon but for some reason Pentax seemed more appealing. At the moment i still have a couple of Canons The 650D and a 400D that i have had a long time and probably won't part with, so i think that will be my secondary body to go with the K-S2 that i am waiting to be delivered.

I am Tim and live in Leeds, i have been into photography many years and was a Canon user ( well still am until my K-S2 arrives) . The only thing i don't know about is Pentax Lenses so will probably be picking your brains about them. The camera i have coming already has the kit lens 18-50mm and also a 55-300mm which i shouldn't really have bought till i found out more, i look forward to meeting all of you through the forum and also thanks for allowing me to join.
