Anyone looking to unload one of these for a reasonable price? Would need to get ownership of it pretty soon otherwise I'm pulling the trigger on the 18-55mm WR lens.

Optio's are kind of in a different league. I got the Pentax because it was designed to be used in all weather conditions. After 4 years I've still to use it in anything but good weather so I feel like trying

The camera condom is an idea, but it just looks so silly is the problem. Hrm, I think I'm sold on the 18-55mm WR lens now. I've got the least to loose from using that, esp if it goes overboard. It would give me a great excuse to tell my wife it was time to get a K-5 and a DA* if the k10d and lens went overboard ... well, at least in my mind.

Ah yes, I mean the 18-55mm WR not the 18-50mm.

So I guess I'm also wondering if I should upgrade to the DA* 16-50mm, or if it is even much of an upgrade from the sigma EX 18-50mm. That is other than the 2mm, but the CA and distortion on the DA* at 16 is pretty bad from what I've heard.

Hrm, hrm hrm. TBD I suppose.

So I'm going on a sailing trip on Friday night - going to be wet and wild. I just sold my last WR lens so I'm kind of kicking myself.

I'm looking at two options here:

1) Go big and get a DA* 16-50mm. I'm just a bit concerned about all the issues I've read about it. To fund this I'd sell my Siggy EX 18-50mm f2.8 and put extra cash in there as well.
2) Go cheap and get a 18-50mm WR lens.

Thoughts?

Wha?? £350? Holy crap! Edit: You caused a touch of LBA there... but with the 70-200mm I really should avoid going for the 50-150... Damn that's a good deal!

I am, actually, quite interested in a DA* 16-50mm now... But I've heard the quality of these lenses vary tons. Any pro tips from shoppers out there on how to get a good one?
