Oh yes, bump. Forgot I was even selling this lens! £220GBP including insured shipping. That's a steal of a deal (from what google tells me)

What's the difference between the 100AW and 200AW - is it just size? Also, any idea a 12" lens+camera would fit in the 100AW?

Have to plug my new lens here a bit. I got a Tamron 400mm f4 SP and it's wonderful! I got mine for a song and dance as well (under 300GBP) and it has been blowing me away. This one is stopped down to f/5.6 where it's razor sharp (not the best photo but gives you an idea of sharpness). If you stack the lens with a 1.7x AFA you have a mega AF prime for well inside your budget.

(freehand shot at 1/250 f5.6 ISO 200 which means that there will probably be some shake visible)

Yeah there is a touch of PF, but that can be removed with PP / lightroom now-a-days. Those shots are all with very minimal PP (I just hit auto in lightroom and then exported using export sharpen).

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what I can get with this lens in the coming months. At first I wasn't sure if I would keep her or if it would be one of those buyer regret scenarios. However, I'm quite happy with my LBA at the moment!

Will post some 100% crops in a bit to show how sharp she can really get!

Yeah, it's an auto lens now at f4.0, and if you happened to have a AFA 1.7x adapter it would be an autofocus 680mm f5.6!

Got a PK-A mount from Mike and now have been able to play with my new toy, damn the leads to deals forcing me to buy a Tamron 400mm F4 ... but holy crap she's sharp! Figured I should post something for future generations looking for this lens as I couldn't find much information on it when I was buying.

So I went to the zoo today without a tripod (could use some advice: should I buy a ball or gimble mount tripod?) and so all of these shots are free hand! With a tripod they would have been even sharper, but still they were stunning. Just floored by what this lens can do.

The proof, they say, is in the pictures though. So the following are all shot wide-open at F4:

(the rhinos were not happy with eachother)

The rest of these are shot from f5.6 upwards

Does this mean that the camera has to be mounted at a 90' angle?
