Have I interpreted correctly that K10 and K20 are essentially the same apart from the fact that the K10 actually has considerably better dynamic range?

Thank you,..yes, I can manage all of that but it demands a 'category' and lists many of the previous comps (including some i would like to have entered...Grrr!) Unfortunately it deems to not offer 'music'

Any pointers?

How does one resize......on secong thoughts perhaps I should'nt ask.....

Can anyone tell me how to get an entry onto the weekly comp (music)please? I have tried for several weeks to put entries on but it always fails due to my ineptitude. With the old site format it was simple to link the pix from 'Imagebucket' which also did the resize automatically. However, with the march of progress it is now too difficult to figure out for the time and patience I have available.

Perhaps I should add that I am quite OK following the proceedure but get the wrong responses such as it's demanding a 'Category' but not offereing 'music' etc. Any help from the compuet literates would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for all of your useful replies.....

I already have three good neckstraps,..two in wide black linen and one in soft English hide which was made for me and is non adjustable. All three terminate in small rings of various types and none will fit the slots on the DSLR. I will be looking at the Optech product but what i really want is some adaptors to convert the slots to 'lugs'. Anyone know of anything?

Does anyone know of a make of adaptor so that one may fit a decent neckstrap to the pentax DSLR's please? I rarely use a neckstrap but will need to do so in the next week or so. I got out the supplied strap but put it back in the box when I'd had a quick look at it! I would like to use my old leather neckstrap but it terminates in rings for the old type camera lugs and will not fit the slots on the DSLR. I assume there must be some adaptors somewhere which fit the slots and offer a 'lug' or ring for a real neckstrap. Failing this, I will have to make my own but since I am unlikely to use it again I would prefer to just buy.

Any help guidance appreciated.....

Presumably this whole site has been 'improved' to allow more advertising space on the right hand side of the screen.........

........I can well understand that advertising is the really important preoccupation for the operators rather than something so inconsequential as content, however, it's to the severe detriment of site presentation for the users. The previous forum worked well and was clear and easy to navigate.

I can't help feeling that since it did'nt appear to be broken it did'nt really require 'fixing'.........

George, thank you for your reply....

I did think of putting my meter across the sync plug but assumed that the short flash duration would not allow the meter needle to deflect properly/fully (although come to think of it I have a digital meter now as well) The gun is a Sunpak Auto-zoom 3600 and it must be about 20 years old now I should think.

I did spend quite a long time this evening looking for a site which has a list but can't find it now....

John,...thank you for your reply. I do have a Vivitar 283 (about 33 years old) and know about it's high voltage whic is why i'm being careful with the Sunpak.

Does anyone know where on the web one can find a guide to which older flash guns have a safe trip voltage suitable for use with Pentax DSLR models.

Thank you for any help in this.
