What's with these spammer who take a line from an earlier post and just repeat it? They are really getting on my nerves. Another one has posted in several topics today.

The shoe maker I went to was in Harrow. My brother lived near him and had all his shoes made by him. He was about 70 then so will be long gone now.
I thought the whole idea was to ignore them and they'd go away. Or, report it to the Mods. At least not so long ago I was told this in no uncertain terms.

I think John Lobbs of London is still in business. I seem to recall there is/was quite a long waiting list too

I have always promised myself, that should I ever be able to afford it, I would have my shoes hand made. Nothing to do with vanity, just comfort.

You really need to engage brain before making posts Stan, letting us know what lens was attached would help
K5 on a tripod with Pentax 18-135mm ISO 200 Tv 3" Filters (Kood) 1 x ND2 1 x ND4 (Unknown) 1 x ND4 in that order. The object of the exercise was to smooth out the waves and see how the time would affect the exposure. It was a beginners class run by a club member (Canon user)

The exif in this shot shows f/40 at 3 secs and photo shows a lucozade bottle in the bottom left which may or may not have contained a message

Yes I own and occasionally use one, there are I believe two versions of this lens - the 03A and 103A. The latter being the one without an integral lenshood and supposedly the better lens of the two.

I own the 103A - not a bad lens in spite of mine having a small amount of haze on one of the elements.

To give you an idea of IQ I have posted a shot for you in the gallery.

So if the lens being offered is free of fungus and other grot - take it

Roger.

Incidentally, this is usually an Adaptall 2 lens and the PK adapter is sometimes offered at £15-20, although what they actually fetch is another matter....
Hi Roger, have looked at this lens and it is the 03A (has the lens hood) and it looks in very good condition, just a few dust spots as far as I can tell. Hopefully it will be dry in the morning so I can have a play about with it. It has an adapter for pentax so is ready to go.

This evening while trying out longer exposures I was using shutter priority at 3 seconds and the screen was showing I needed an apeture of f/40 which as far as I know isn't available on the lens I was using. Several other shots gave readings of f/29, f/34 etc. A photo was captured ok so is there some sort of wizardry at work or does the lens just go to f/22. Also could using the camera when these way out readings are showing cause damage to the camera and/or lens

That must be why everyone is waiting, to avoid the confusion of the time. It is starting to look like a last few days of the month monthly competition.
