Black currants --- Thorns ?

Do you mean gooseberries?. They make good jam/pies/plonk as well

Bernard.

PS also bake bread - 5 x 2lb loaves at a time.
Blackberries (Brambles ? ) have thorns.

Do you find the black currants have a two year cycle, feast one year famine the next. I seem to recall the black current bushes we had when I was a child were like that.

I'm looking for a photograph suitable for a bedroom wall. If it helps the wall is Almond White and the occupants are in their 60's and broad minded I will judge on the general appeal of the photo to me rather than expertise. Usual rules apply. Have fun and Good Luck

Did you turn off the camera too soon after taking the offending shot, in which case it may not have had time to save away the dng file

I'm not sure what I did. Is the jpg generated first from a buffer and stored then the dng file saved, if it is it would mean that to put the M in the file name it must be able to tell the future or behind the scenes processing goes on when the the switch is turned to off. I'll try doing that with another card a slow class 4 click then off.
Wonder if I "chimped" to soon :

I agree. Sadly it's not evenly accredited either. The Western governments and the Western media preach that violence is the answer to problems they have created, while they vilify violence by those who they decree are enemies.
I think effects theory is still under debate, widely debunked and people who purportedly commit acts of violence after influence of "media" are generally unhinged in the first place. It's not like murders increased with the advent of magazines, pacman, moving pictures or colour TV.
That is not what I was saying, I was saying because violence is such an everyday event, when witnessing violence or indeed famine scenes etc does it affect the viewer at all ie want to send cash to help, or is it just a big yawn. Familiarity breeds contempt. I'm not saying play Quake III and you'll go out and shoot up a school.

Faced with a mob I'd take a quick snap or two if safe to do so then quietly slip away.

Faced with a one on one it would depend on the circumstances as I have witnessed the helper being attacked by both parties.

As a male if I saw a child in distress in the street again my first instinct would be to help but because these days unfortunately "all men are classed as paedophiles", common sense would preavail and I'd avoid the situation.

Swimming is a confusing sport. Sometimes you do it for fun and other times you do it to not die

Lovely shots. I agree a few high points would be nice. Up in Sheringham Norfolk they have observation towers for viewing the rhododendron to full advantage, but you probaly knew that
