Was outside that camera shop in Gosforth high street this morning, in the window a Sigma 50-500mm and a Sigma 150-500mm but Haymarket bus came and saved the day. They were probably not pentax fit anyway

They were doing practice today well up river, I've posted a couple of pics taken with an 18-135mm. There was one guy there on the lower pontoon which was closed to the public with a nikon and a lens the size of a dustbin

Some interesting captures here.
I got sent a link, you type your post code in and jumbo jet goes down your street but it was so sloooooooowwwww I deleted it before I died of old age

BA launched a new Olympics themed advert yesterday which is quite clever BUT the REALLY clever bit is you can put in any UK postcode or address (or try both) and "thanks to CGI and Google Maps", the advert will include the B777 taxiing up your road!

Haven't done many fushia pics this year but it is a lovely plant.

It looks sharper than my efforts but some of the detail is fuzzy and of course you are not working on the original.

As a Sunderland follower I'm not to keen on his jersy either

Just to cheer you up Stan,

I once posted a whole load of out of focus macros.

Thanks for all the useful comments people.

Geordie1: I'm going to try my reading glasses instead of the vari-focals.

David: Info from photome f9 1/125 iso 800. Apart from lots of practice I should have picked a calmer day too

Algernon: You're probably right. Tried sharpening with (a) Unsharp Mask and (b) High Pass filter, on different copies but as John says...

John: You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. PPPPP (Practice Prevents P*** Poor Photographs )

Is that the CarolG who uses a compact camera a lot too and get super results?

My Models get fed up waiting for me to "get it right" and buzz off
