I've got a Samsung GX1s I'm thinking of selling. It's apparently based on the Pentax *IST DS2.

It's boxed with all manuals, disk, leads etc and in really good condition. I paid 400 quid for the camera and the two Samsung branded kit lenses, probably almost 3 years ago now. I'll only be selling the body though.

Does anyone have any idea how much it might be worth?
Or is it just a stick it on ebay and hope for he best job?

I disagree, but I guess that's just my opinion. You can use the rule of thirds within a square frame to dramatic effect. The figure faces slightly towards the right so usually he would be positioned more towards the left side (in more traditionally composed images). If you just crop off the right side, the image doesn't balance. Taking a little of both sides to form a 4x5 ratio crop, leaving the figure near to a third of the way in would be my preference.

The problem with just chopping off the right side is that you'll place the figure right in the middle of the frame, which in my opinion will weaken he composition.

I think this image is a good candidate for a black and white conversion. This will help simplify the image. I'd also think about slightly vignetting the shot and perhaps blurring the background slightly using the lens blur filter in photoshop.

Do you not worry about losing a fair bit of overall sharpness at f22?

Very nice shots of some beautiful machines.
I think it's worth reading up on using RAW - you can attain much sharper shots than the premium jpeg settings (on my K10d at least).

What he said, this would massively improve the shot. There's also quite a strong cyan cast on the image.
