Hi there,
As a new member of this forum, and as a newcomer to Pentax as a whole, it'd be great to get to know any local members with a view to going on some local outings.
Let me know if anyone fancies it.

I couldn't find one for lover nor money to play with before I ordered it. Let's hope I like it, eh?!
Yes, I'll bring it on the 27th, although I may not have progressed further than the first few pages of the manual!

In typically speedy fashion, Amazon have delivered me my new toy 2 days before they said they would (hurrah). Parcel now sat in front of me and I am about to open it. Just savouring the moment.....
More gloating to follow, no doubt.

I'd love to come. Don't know the area as well as I should (living in Nottingham) and I have never met any of you guys, but count me in for that date. The K30 will still be new to me by then, so expect some swearing under the breath.....

Hi
I just wanted to say that I have just ordered a K30, 18-135mm, GPS unit, spare battery and a host of other bits and pieces. This after several weeks of deliberating my move from a quite decent starter set-up of an Olympus E510.
Looking forward to not only playing with the new toy but to spending even more time in this forum.

At these events do you have any problems asking for portraits, or do you find most people quite happy to pose? Was this lady a model per se or a local?
