This lens has served me well over the years and with great reluctance I am putting it up for sale. I am no longer using my K10D for sports. This great lens is in excellent condition. Glass is clean and free of scratches/dents/blemishes or fungus. Lens has always been carried in it supplied lens bag and I have taken good care of the baby and always used a UV filter for protection of the front element, and it will be included in the sale (this is a professional HOYA HMC, costing GBP 30.00 alone). There are a few tiny internal specs of dusts, but that does not affect the optical performance or focusing (see images). Last year I asked SIGMA to have it cleaned, but they advised me to not bother, as it would make no difference to the pictures whatsoever. Lens body is also in great cosmetic condition, with tripod mount. It takes fantastic pictures. This lens is incredibly sharp, even wide open and its already being said that this lens is in fact sharper than the new version! Focus is spot on and very fast. There are no external moving parts, other than the zoom ring, which is the professional style, pull/push clutch. Both focus and zoom is internal and the front does not rotate, which is very useful with some filters.

Price: GBP 550.00 including shipping (UK mainland)

This lens gives you an equivalent range of about 100-300mm at constant f2.8 on any of todays Pentax DSLR's. It will work with all digital Pentax SLR's however, thanks to its old style aperture ring, something the new model released this year does not have anymore. This allows you to make full use of Shutter Priority on older film SLR's.

Also selling it on eBay, so please confirm that its still available. I also have a matching 2x AF APO converter for sale to go with this lens. Feel free to ask

...yes, although the image shows the K200D, the description says K20D, including two lenses. If the order is accepted as a K20D, it would be quite a bargain!

Gwyn, did you go for it?! It say only one left now, even though there were two only a an hour ago... huh

there is a miss price on Amazon's (UK) website. They meant to put K200D, but its down as K20D I tried to order one, and looks like it goes through, but not to sure about Amazon's pricing and description policies... however this might be ok:

1.1 AMAZON WANTS YOU TO HAVE A SAFE BUYING EXPERIENCE. IF THE BUYER OF AN ITEM HAS PROVIDED PAYMENT TO THE SELLER, BUT THE SELLER DID NOT DELIVER THE ITEM, OR, IF THE BUYER RECEIVED THE ITEM, BUT IT WAS MATERIALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE SELLER'S DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM, AMAZON WILL PAY THE BUYER THE FINAL CLOSING PRICE OF THE ITEM UP TO £150 OR UP TO £2,000 IF THE BUYER USED THE AMAZON PAYMENTS SERVICE TO PAY THE SELLER, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS. THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS APPLY TO THE AMAZON A-Z GUARANTEE: (1) THE BUYER MUST WAIT 30 DAYS, BUT NOT LONGER THAN 90 DAYS, AFTER THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN OFFER IN A FIXED PRICE SALE AT MARKETPLACE OR ZSHOPS OR AFTER THE CLOSE OF AN AUCTION TO REQUEST PAYMENT FROM AMAZON UNDER THE AMAZON A-Z GUARANTEE AND SUBMIT THE GUARANTEE SUBMISSION FORM;

If any one fancies a try, let us know the outcome!!

Thanks for the prompt responses. I thought, like you pointed out, to put all the switches on both units to the same position. But that was not working. Also they antenna does indeed extent, but its just the same.

This is the item on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Remote-Control-for-Pentax-K10D-K110D-K100D-Samsung_W0QQite...

Happy to post some better images, but I think there is not much to it. Suspecting a dead battery in the receiver part, as the remote part has a flashing led that works when pressed.

Does the K10D need to be in a certain mode to receive a wired signal (the unit plugs into the wired port on the K10D)?

Hi guys and girls...

I have just gotten my remote for using on the K10D. I was getting fed up with using the timer and getting some shots, but missing others, as the situation changed, before the timer was firing.

So this is the unit:

got it from fleeBay, but the seller failed to sent any instructions. Anyone using one of these, please let me know. Need to get this thing working before the wknd!

Thanks
