Hi Mannesty,

If you want some more info or questions asking about the Olympus kit then let me know. I only have the EM-1 ii and 40-150 2.8 Pro so can't comment on the other stuff.

I'm doing the opposite and switching back to DSLR's from Mirrorless. Oly stuff is getting sold. Still deciding between Canon, Nikon and Pentax...

Cheers,
Ross

I have updated the eBay page with more images of the lens and updated the description slightly. Not sure how to change it on here so please have a look at eBay. It's listed for £575 on there but I will offer it at £560 on this forum for the fellow Pentax users

Any other questions or photos needed, just let me know...

For sale is my Pentax DA* 300mm F4 Prime Lens. Overall it is in excellent condition. Optically it is perfect with no fungus scratches or dust inside the lens. Just a little dust on the front filter. Haven't cleaned it recently but will do before sale. The only marks are cosmetic on the tripod collar but are barely visible (slight paint rub).

The only other issue with this is that it is missing the lens hood filter cover on the lens hood (shown in images). This hasn't seemed to affect use in my opinion. It still produces sharp, contrasty photos. I have included some photos I have personally taken with this lens on my K-5 II (now sold).

Tested and fully functional. AF/MF switch works, focus ring is light due to age but still in great condition.

Have used this in heavy rain for hours shooting wildlife on my old K5 II and it has kept all dust and moisture out just like it was new.

It will come with the original box and lens bag (now found), as well as the lens hood (missing filter door), tripod collar (still attached) and both front and rear lens caps.

Collection or I will post myself. UK Only.

I'd eliminate the Battery grip. Take it off, and remove the battery from the camera. Leave it for a few minutes, before replacing the battery in the camera WITHOUT the grip attached.

Any change ?
Thank you! It seemed to do the trick Must have been a little glitch or something.

Hi everyone,

My Pentax K5 II suddenly stopped working today whilst I was out shooting wildlife. The orange memory card light is solid and hasn't turned off in 2 hours. I've tried changing batteries, SD cards, lenses....I've even tried the good old off/on again with no luck.

When off the top screen just displays the images remaining on the card until full. When on it just shows the battery level.

I was shooting BIF and it just stopped... Since this has happened, the light is still on, I can't focus, change settings, the screen doesn't work..

Anyone know what's wrong or has it just shot itself?

I bought it used but was in excellent condition. Only. had it 3 weeks. Used with the battery grip on all the time and the weather sealed 300mm F4 so don't think this is a moisture issue...Comment Image

What’s this like compared to the newer da* 300mm f4 SDM?
Also is this 2.8 version weather resistant?

Ok thanks guys for the help. So it seems they both have all the features I’d need. Just differences are pixel shift, flash or gps. One has an astrotracer built in correct? Is there any difference between it and the dedicated gps module? Either way I’ll wait until the new flagship is released to see if it’s worth it. Can’t wait.

Like most I’m currently waiting to see what the new APS-C flagship has in store before making a decision.

But... I’ve been looking at used K3’s and K3 II’s. What are the differences between the two? And how do they compare to the K70 and KP. Been away from Pentax for a long time but thinking of returning to the light. My old camera was a KS2 for reference.

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

Tried to make an advert the other day, but it would't let me edit it and update the information. I have since made a new advert on ebay. If you are interested in buying a Pentax KS-2 and Pentax 18-135mm DC WR, then please follow this link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254414977185

Regards,
Ross
