Hi everyone,

My Pentax K5 II suddenly stopped working today whilst I was out shooting wildlife. The orange memory card light is solid and hasn't turned off in 2 hours. I've tried changing batteries, SD cards, lenses....I've even tried the good old off/on again with no luck.

When off the top screen just displays the images remaining on the card until full. When on it just shows the battery level.

I was shooting BIF and it just stopped... Since this has happened, the light is still on, I can't focus, change settings, the screen doesn't work..

Anyone know what's wrong or has it just shot itself?

I bought it used but was in excellent condition. Only. had it 3 weeks. Used with the battery grip on all the time and the weather sealed 300mm F4 so don't think this is a moisture issue...Comment Image

I'd eliminate the Battery grip. Take it off, and remove the battery from the camera. Leave it for a few minutes, before replacing the battery in the camera WITHOUT the grip attached.

Any change ?

Thank you! It seemed to do the trick Must have been a little glitch or something.

Might have knocked one of the controls on the grip into an 'in between' position?
