Not fully out in my garden. This looks like an 'on the belly shot' to me. Beautiful delicate flower and colour. Thanks for showing this to us.

Are these clemetis flowers? Very effective lighting. Cloning out the branches at the bottom right I feel would help the shot. Lovely colours not spoilt by the back lighting. Nice picture.

Have often wanted to try my hand at back lit subjects. I find this very effective. How was the lemon/lime backlit. Did you use a lightbox? I can imagine getting the settings correct was quite a challenge. So effective is this that my mouth has gone dry looking at the picture. What other subjects could you use? My imagination is lacking. regards thoramay.

Now!! I like this John. Not the most appealing portrait of you but it demonstrates your ability to 'see opportunities' which is the hallmark of a good photographer. Well spotted and full marks for letting us 'see it' to. regards thoramay.

Tried it. Failed every time so my admiration is tops. It taked this type of photogaphy to gain our admiration for all things nature.

These birds can be such a problem in a garden, but just look at the colours of its feathers. They can look quite stunning when flying away and revealing their backs. As previously said, a lovely capture.

Love the first tulip, but for me the crop should stop at the second. The others spoilt the effect, for me. Tried it myself and never ever satisfied. DOF with these shots either make it or spoil it. Its the second for me.

As if tulips are not especially beautiful, some of the modern ones, like this where there are added colours are so enchanting. As above. Very well taken. regards thoramay

It is what close up does for me. You normally don't give them a second glance and then...up close you simply marvel at its colour its shape and its beauty. So much is missed because we are so much higher than our hedgerow and verge flowers. Thanks for reminding me how wonderful nature is, when you stop and look closely. regards Thoramay.

Trixie. sometimes..What you see and like in a picture does not translate to others and this shot is just so. Your other shots makes me stop and take in all the detail and admire as if I was looking at the flower myself. Not so this time. At first I did not think this could be yours. But!! it happens to us all. You have an amazing ability to see the magic and beauty in flowers and you ...
