Another bearded iris that demands to be photographed. I appreciate that you have left it in its natural environment and this adds to the picture,
My bearded iris's have now gone over. They gave me a wonderful display this year helped by the lack of heavy rain.
Well taken. You have more than done it justice.

I did wonder how the original shot would look.
The colour brings out the softnesss of these flowers.
I always think that tulips have that softness to their colours, almost a translucent effect.
I think that this was somewhat missing in the edited version, even though I liked the treatment.

The sloping horizon takes something away from the effect of this picture.
It kinda looks as if the sea is flowing down hill, or am I seeing things here. There is a leaning mast in the centre of the picture that seems to support my view of things.

Your use of F11 has held interest in the foreground and allowed the rest of the flowers to provide a beautiful back cloth.
Very well done. Not easy with so much white in the picture.

Very moody and the sky is well caught.
Suggest that you crop some of the front on the picture to bring the horizon down so as to place it at a third of the way up the picture.
Rule of thirds work here.

I simply want to encourage you. This is your best flower picture by far. The conversion is perfect.
Your arrangement and balance of the flowers really works.
Well done from me.

Find another and you have the can-can!! I know!! I'm in that mood today.
It all holds together nicely. The bricks are nearly as interesting, colour wise, as the water can.
Well spotted and spot on with the capture.

So much better in the large version and then a tighter crop of the left side really draws the eye to the big wheel.
Take the big wheel out that just leaves the windows makes a clever shot on its own.

And shadows!! The triangle shape on the forehead that bleeds down over the nose and down to the tie gives a facinating effect to the concentrated stare.
Cleverly done.
Not what you intended, I know, but the shot is even better just head and shoulders in the enlarged version. Wonderful detail in the face

Nice attempt, Robin. I find the whole picture a little cluttered.
I have put a piece of paper over the right hand flowers and this does improve the shot in that your eyes are then drawn to the flowers in focus.
We are taught to do it in three's but in this case the out of focus flowers either side confuses the eyes and draws them away from the point of the pic which is the centre flowers.
