I love this shot. The pathway over the shoulder leads your eye right into the shoreline and then into the coast line. Think if it were mine I would clone out the pathway leading to the bottom left of the pic. Its personal, but it distacts me somewhat.

only the lack of eyes showing lets this pic from being fantastic. Brilliant concept and shot

Yu can't win with this critter. tried many times. Only a shot from above works. It's long legs and feelers defeat any hope of any reasonable depth of focus. Nice try and as good as it gets from the front

I have tried getting a decent macro shot of this flower without any success. The stamen thing is too far away from the flower to exact any sensible depth of focus. In my opinion, your shot suffers from this same problem of getting the whole in focus. Having said that, you have succeeded better than I have by your choice of angle and it makes a very satisfying result. Well achieved.

I do not find red an easy colour to photograph particularly in getting detail in petals. If this was autofocus I would expect a lot more detail. If manual focus then it is not as sharp as I would expect.

Have checked the full image and she is gorgeous and beautifully shot. Just felt that the eyes didn't tell the full story. regrads

Just to be contrary, George. I understood cattle and four legged beasts wended their way home and that birds winged their way home. Just being pedantic for fun.

I find this impersonal...The eyes alone do not convey emotion. I would like to see the mouth with a hint of a smile and I feel this will bring those eyes to life. Beautifully captured, by the way.

Right or wrong..its personal but I would take out the white lines on the left, either through photoshop or cropping. I would also crop the bottom just below the chin. It would have helped had the two images been seperated just a bit. The idea and the capture of the face and expression I love and has been well done. Hope this gives another perspective for you.

Not raining in Manchester, again, John. But it gave you the opportunity to catch this beautiful Rose bathed in raindrops. I am on the Island with dad for a while and to please you, it is beautiful sunshine here. The rose is an especially lovely colour to catch. I'm getting to be a fan of your work, John. This one is so heart lifting.
