I have a DL2 and a Samsung GX10 (K10D clone). The DL2 was unused for a while after I got the GX10. When I went back to it I had a problem that neither rechargeables, nor alkaline would work, got the empty battery flashing icon.
Following advice on this and other forums I tried Energizer Ultimate Lithium, and these have worked fine. However, after my earlier problems, I always remove them between use, and usually when I put them back, I get the empty flashing icon, I remove & re-insert then they show full power.
Recently they have been on offer at ASDA & Tesco for £3.99 a 4 pack, normally £6.99. It's worth a try at that price, I'm still on my first set, and they're still showing full power after quite a bit of use.
Watch out when buying to get the ones that say, " Up to 630 digital photos" on the pack. Because they do some energizer which are not lithium, but the packaging is almost identical.

I've just bought the Pentax version of the Jessops AFD360. £48 in the clearance sale. It works on my GX-10 in Auto, head zooms, correct exposure, firing on trailing curtain, etc.
When I put it on my DL2 it will only work in manual, no zooming head, blown out pictures.
Has anybody had success using this flash with a DL, or DS? I'm hoping I'm missing something simple in the settings.
Any suggestions gratefully received
I did notice on the Samsung it seems a bit temperamental as to how you mount it to get the contacts working, which I think I have read in another thread
Thanks
Peter

I'm reasonably happy with both my 18-55 lenses, a Mk1, and a Samsung. But with the 16-45 having come down in price, I'm tempted to upgrade. What benefit will it give me? e.g. Will I only see the higher quality on 8 by 10 prints, with no visible benefit at 6 by 4, or will I need to go even larger to see anything?
Are there other benefits with this lens?
Thanks

The recent offers on the 55-300 I have found tempting, and the longer reach over the 50-200 you will definitely find useful. I'm not going for it because the IQ of my Sigma is good enough for my needs, but if as your signature suggests the Samsung is your current longest focal length, the 55-300 is the best option for you to go longer, and you will massively enjoy the extra reach(while needing to pixel peep to see the extra quality).
Furthermore 300mm seems to be the cut off point for a reasonable price AF lens, any longer and the price takes a massive hike.
