It was tremendous fun - absolutely exhausting considering we had had 3 hours in Church that morning , half a cup of coffee then off to the Station for a 1 hour trip into NYC itself.
All Booths in the street were exactly the same size and we both sniggered at Canon and Nikon placed beside each other
Why can't we have fun stuff like this in the UK - I mean a Street was closed off for this !
Adorama actually extended it by a hour as it was going so well . The shop itself was crowded , but the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble . They didn't have my second 16GB card in the shop - so checked the warehouse and it had gone out of stock there Just shows how much they were selling.
Photomonk's new Lexar cards were costing him 50cents a GB !!
They made sure that it was a party - stilt walkers . a petting zoo [ not well done it has to be admitted ] drink stalls , face painting .
OH - and the temp was over 80

Oh those are doorbells OK - very typical Edinburgh tenement ones You can see them as a double row so-to-speak as well which reduces the depth of the mount.

Taken by PhotoMonk yesterday - please note these are direct from his brand new Samsung NX30 which he got on Wednesday.

Had a ball - bought 2 X Lexar 16GB 400 speed cards , 1X Lexar 16GB 600 speed , a 16GB Toshiba FlashAir Card AND a new camera bag - the LowePro Urban Reporter 150 !
Didn't actually break the bank either - came to $171.25 including taxes and stuff !
Work out what that is

OH got some freebies as well including a $15 Lens cloth [ a BIG one ] and a Ricoh little day sack thingy and a wee bottle opener . Entered a draw for a Pentax waterproof camera as well.
You should see what Photomonk came away with - including a $25 gift card from Adorama when he told them that the last lens for the Nikon Camera he swapped for the new NX30 in Times Square on Wednesday. He was buying Lexar Cards as well - worked out that they cost us 50cents a GB !!
It was a fabulous day - I just wish that we had things like this in UK - this was a great day promoting Adorama and it worked as there were fun activities for Children.

Seriously I'll only be getting the Lexar Cards - for me and a pal in London . I'm very tempted though by link

I didn't know palm trees blossomed !
Was sitting out in my host's garden here in Dublin , enjoying the sun , and asked him what flower was giving off that perfume .

Technically not as good as most folk post - but then I take pics as memories and I can put up with things less than perfect
1) The entrance to the Party
2)Childrens' entertainers [ there were several stilt walkers ]
3) A quadcopter - Photomonk spotted it in time to get a really good shot - I had to grab this one
4) General view
5) Quite how he's going to get this lot on his personal mode of transport I don't know
6)No - it's not squint - it's the display ! honest Now how about that for a price ?
