It was tremendous fun - absolutely exhausting considering we had had 3 hours in Church that morning , half a cup of coffee then off to the Station for a 1 hour trip into NYC itself.
All Booths in the street were exactly the same size and we both sniggered at Canon and Nikon placed beside each other
Why can't we have fun stuff like this in the UK - I mean a Street was closed off for this !
Adorama actually extended it by a hour as it was going so well . The shop itself was crowded , but the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble . They didn't have my second 16GB card in the shop - so checked the warehouse and it had gone out of stock there Just shows how much they were selling.
Photomonk's new Lexar cards were costing him 50cents a GB !!
They made sure that it was a party - stilt walkers . a petting zoo [ not well done it has to be admitted ] drink stalls , face painting .
OH - and the temp was over 80

I saw a photo of it elsewhere and a woman in a wheelchair was whizzing around taking pictures with a prime lens, the poster commented why do we need zooms when this woman can position herself in the right place in a chair!

It really was fun - I loved every second of it I went with a shopping list and got most of it there
Going to Unique Photo this weekend - I'm told you can fit Adorama into a tiny space there
