Plus using them for storage means you're only getting one use per card when they are designed for multiple use.

Also note that basic card readers in most laptops are slower than the best SD Cards

Yes they are, Don! I have a fun time with them when they get inside the house then immediately go to a window trying to get out! I use the jar and card method to capture them rather than the camera though

I'd recommend Gumtree, you'll have a much large audience than here.
I have had huge success selling on Gumtree over the years. I even get sales to people in my neighbourhood after seeing my ad.

This is the way it should be in my mind and isn't a particularly fair thing to say to a client.
So I'm not on the same page as you with this one as it could be interpreted as if you are implying that those 'pros' who do not show the client their junk images as well are somehow being dishonest and that you are more honest than them.

I've never heard of a pro taking this position before (which only means I've never heard of it), but I have read and heard many times about pros who have been asked to hand over all shot & unedited photos for the client that have reacted in the same way = Not a Chance!
Of course I fully support your right to do as you please, so I've only offered my pov in the spirit of free speech and personal opinion.

I don't have an answer to your main question, but I have a question of my own

Why is this a good/useful modus operandi ?
It would be like someone watching you over your shoulder, they'd witness your misses and goofs - all of which are traditionally filtered out before a client sees any photos.
And you've not had a chance to process any RAW so won't be showing them at their best.
I doesn't seem professional in my mind.
