Seconded! The only shots I have of bees is them buzzing out the frame, they seem to anticipate the shutter by half a second, so well captured.

You certainly have developed a fine technique for close up accurate focusing, and yes, Rob's right .....for me I think even the slightest rocking back and fourth, or tiniest bit of QuickShift, to fine tune the focus would have every little critter hopping or buzzing right out of sight!

Yes they are, Don! I have a fun time with them when they get inside the house then immediately go to a window trying to get out! I use the jar and card method to capture them rather than the camera though
Very loud wings on this specie too.

Thanks all, I usually shoot in manual mode and move the camera , not using auto focus I find this more accurate.
