As the title says, I'm not sure if the older non DG version will fit but willing to take the chance

Just checked mine to be absolutely sure, K5iis + DA*50-135, Highlight Correction: Off, and the total time the orange light shines for is about 2 secs
with Highlight Correction : On the orange light is on for about 6 seconds.
Also worth noting. If you have noise reduction turned on for long exposures it will take as long to write the file as it did to capture.

If you enable highlight correction it dramatically increases the write time. When shooting at the kart track with the K5iis I have to disable it.

This is starting to decay at the fairground Barry Island. Hopefully it'll stay for years and I can keep revisiting to document it.

use a rubber placemat/mug stand press firmly down on that it gives you all round the filter grip.
