For me what makes the Pentax brand, in my case K10D special, is the look, followed straight away about the feel of the controls, they are where they naturally should be, it is a great design. I have some DA lenses and "A" and "M" lenses, and everything just works so nicely together. I love wireless flash also. I did have to have the mother-board replaced, but nothing I have seen lately would temp me to leave the brand. Also this forum and the magazine. Pentax is special.

The large maximum aperture of these telephoto primes provides the main advantage (in my opinion) over budget zoom lenses, so you want to be able to use it. That's what I mostly use my smc 135mm f2.5 for anyway.

Takumar (Bayonet) 1:2.5 135mm, I really like the way this handles, and in conjunction with green button and judicious over or under adjustments via aperture ring, I love the results.
What do people think of these examples.
A small amount of level adjustment and cropping that is all made to them.

You can also try Opera Browser, I flit between Firefox and Opera. One feature I love on Opera is Speed Dial, having up to nine websites available like that is a useful thing.

What software are you referring to that allows you to create a bootable external Windows disk as back up? Partition Magic?
On Mac I use Carbon Copy Cloner, to create a external bootable drive. OnLinux I use BRU.

Now you have done a clean install. Go to another machine and download programs from grc.com like ¨Shoot The Messenger¨ http://www.grc.com/securable.htm, http://www.grc.com/unpnp/unpnp.htm etc,run ¨ShieldsUP¨ and follow instructions.
Make sure a Firewall is running.
Install Clam-AV, AVG or similar.
Stop using MSIE, that is best - use Firefox or Opera or any browser except MSIE.
1) Before going on the internet
Get the Anti-Virus program using another machine and install on yours.
Set the Windows Firewall or download another Firewall from another machine.
Now go to the grc.com links above and install/run the tiny apps.
This way your ¨newly¨ installed machine will be fine.
Make sure a Firewall is running.

On Windows I recommend using Clam-AV, plus several of the excellent freeware programs from http://www.grc.com which close up holes in Windows. Personally I use Linux and OS X but I support others who choose Windows.

I can imagine! I did the update last night after reading your post and thought twice before doing it, however mine took the proscribed time and works perfectly.
