I'm having a clear out of some of my lenses to make space and raise funds for my next round of LBA.

For sale is my Sigma EX 105mm f/2.8 AF macro lens. I've had it for around 2 years, but have decided to 'consolidate' may macro lens collection into a DFA 100WR.

It's in excellent condition, as shown in the pictures. The optics are in good shape, with no scratches, marks or fungus (but one or two specks of internal dust - nothing unusual or that would affect the pictures).

It is supplied with the original hood and front/rear caps. Although I don't normally use them, I'd be happy to include a UV filter as well if you'd like one.

I think that £180 delivered within the UK is reasonable and I'd be happy to investigate postage options to send it further afield if required. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal (with the buyer covering the fees) please.

That's the A-pin (one of the contacts on the PK/A mount).

From memory, there is a notch that it sits in underneath the metal mount. To reassemble it, you need to set the aperture ring to the 'A' position, balance the pin in the notch where it sits and carefully re-fit the mount.

It's in excellent condition, as shown in the pictures, the only minor issue is that the rubber coating on the aperture ring is slightly tacky, which is common on Sigma lenses of this age. The optics are in good shape, with no scratches, marks or fungus (but one or two specks of internal dust - nothing unusual or that would affect the pictures).

As these are quire rare in Pentax mount and there aren't many other 24mm AF primes, it's hard to gauge the price. I've got a couple of eBay's finest T-mount to PK adapters and they both click into position, I'm afraid.

If you look at the face of the T mount, there should be a groove that engages with a pin on the camera body adjacent to the lens release button. It is possible that the groove on your mount isn't very well machined, as you say and doesn't line up with or fit the pin.

I've got the non-macro version and really like it. It's sharp, and the colours and rendering aren't bad (a bit cooler than Pentax lenses and bokeh is good for a zoom).

I find it works really well as an outdoor walk-around lens. My copy has been well used, but the AF is spot on on my K-5

Good points:
- Useful range (most alternatives are 28-70 and 24mm is appreciably wider than 28mm on APS-C and 70mm is useful on the long end).
- Nice IQ for a zoom.
- Fast.
- Solid build.
- Surprisingly good manual focus operation for an AF zoom.

Not-so-good points:
- Big and heavy (doesn't easily fit in my 'everyday' camera bag on the body)
- 82mm filters
- The 'flocked' finish is a matter of taste and shows marks really easily.

Can you fix the washing machine? £300 is a snip for an FA43.

The brushes on our washing machine wore out about 18 months ago and I got away with spending £12 on a new set of brushes...
