I'm having a clear out of some of my kit to make space and raise funds for my next round of LBA.

For sale is my K1000 film body. I've had it for around a year, have shot a couple of rolls of film with it (the most recent of which being last weekend).

It's one of the earlier 'Asahi' branded ones, which are heavier and contain more metal parts than later ones. Although I've enjoyed having a play with it and the 'minimalist' experience, I think that I prefer my MX and mainly shoot digital.

It's in very good condition, as shown in the pictures. The optics are in good shape, with one or two specks of dust on the focussing screen and mirror. It shows signs of careful use and so is not a collector's piece, more of a 'good' user.

It is supplied with the original box, manual, registration card and body cap.

I think that £40 delivered within the UK is reasonable and I'd be happy to investigate postage options to send it further afield if required. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal (with the buyer covering the fees) please.

For sale is my Samsung 12-24mm f/4 AF lens. It's a badge-engineered version of the Pentax DA 12-24 and is, as I understand it, optically identical. I've had it for around 2 years, and haven't used it much since I've had a DA15 (a quick trawl of my EXIF data shows that has only been on my camera once in the last 12 months).

It's in excellent condition, as shown in the pictures. The optics are in good shape, with no scratches, marks or fungus.

I don't think it's bad advice at all, unless your friend is always at either the 18mm or 300mm end of their lenses.

From my experience with the Pentax 18-250, it is perfectly usable throughout the range (actually, it's very good - better than you'd have any right to expect given the range), but at the short end there is noticeable distortion and at the long end it's not 300mm and it does get a bit soft.
