Alright, who bought it!

I had a look in the Manchester branch of LCE, and lo and behold, the only secondhand Pentax lens in the window was the FA 43mm F1.9 Limited in Silver. I was VERY VERY tempted but I had to resist for one big reason, I need a new washing machine

However, just got back from the theatre, and checked the LCE web site, and guess what! It is not listed.

So which of you lucky people has gone and bought it? I was going to check the finances to see if I could buy it along with the Washer.
Oh well, I will stick to the many 50mm's 55mm's and the lovely DA40 Ltd instead.

Whoever bought it has got what looked like an immaculate copy of a very fine lens indeed.

It's probably no consolation but a new washing machine should help to enhance colours, rather like a Pentax Limited lens does.

It is still there!
I still need a new washer!

Had a play with it on my K-5 though and compared it to my 50mm F1.7
It is a bit more contrasty than the fifty and has slightly richer colours.

I am so tempted........

Algi, it is a very reasonable £299.

Well you could make a few quid towards the washing machine.

LOL

In all honesty, it comes down to hard facts. Do I NEED the FA43? Well considering my recent acquisition of the SMC-M 50mm F1.7, probably not

Do I want the FA43? Yes of course! It is a Limited and a very fine copy indeed. That is the problem of LBA.

At the end of the day, I still have my FA50, M50 and DA40Ltd that will give me what I want, along with the M42 mount lenses I have. But I would be gutted to pass on such a wonderful lens.

Whoever buys it will get a beauty. I just keep my fingers crossed that Mr Lottery is good to me at the weekend, and come Monday, it is still there.......

LOL Dave.
The thing is, my current "Launderette" is my parents 4 miles away, and I am sure that they would love to have me come over a couple of times a week to do mine, and not buy a washer when I need to, instead buying a lens....
I bet that would REALLY go down well.........

Can you fix the washing machine? £300 is a snip for an FA43.

The brushes on our washing machine wore out about 18 months ago and I got away with spending £12 on a new set of brushes...

There must be something wrong with it for that price
It's at least £100 less than it's worth
