Castle cameras are giving a free 35mm f/2.4 with any K-3 purchase at the moment. Might be an offer at other dealers in the coming days as well?

I am quite fortunate to have 2 Pentax Pro Dealers near me. Wessex Photographic, who are good for the basics, but do not carry many Pentax fit lenses in stock, although they can order anything. Downside is they only have a very basic website which is rarely updated. Last purchase from here was a 100mm WR macro for £499 in December, during a Pentax day.

Second one is Castle Cameras, who carry a large amount of Pentax lenses and accessories in stock and have a very good website. They are sometimes cheaper than SRS, and both Castle and Wessex will price match via a call to the Pentax rep. Good service from Castle who gave me a no quibble exchange on a Sigma 8-16mm after the AF packed up in the first month. Last purchase from here was K-3 when it was launched with £100 trade-in(non-working compact) and free leather Pentax strap.
Both companies also do a reasonable range of second hand stock.

To answer some questions.
Smeggy, power consumption is just 5w.

John, yes I agree for most people it is a bit OTT, but as my house can regularly hit a humidity level of 70-80% which causes leather goods to go mouldy, then for me it gives me peace of mind.

Dariusz, yes it is Hui Tong, but they are also marketed under the name Digi-Cabi.

I could only find one UK seller who imports them, and that is smileyminmin on ebay. Mine is the 60l analogue version which has a dial to set the humidity level. Cabinet is quite deep too, as the Tamron on the top shelf is the 70-200 F/2.8. It is also totally silent in use.

I have actually just invested in this(please excuse the quick snapshot):

Mainly due to living in a cob and thatch house, which has high humidity. I am thinking of covering the glass with some Coca Cola vinyl or similar for security reasons, then it will look like a mini fridge on first glance.

Novatech.co.uk are always worth having a chat with. I have always had good customer service from them and their advice has always been sound.
Their "Barebones Systems" are also very good. Basically get a case with motherboard, cpu, psu and ram fitted, then add everything else yourself.

I spent a good hour on Saturday taking to the Pentax rep during the Ricoh instore day at my local dealer. Key findings were:

K-3 selling very well.
20-40 Ltd has been on the rep's K-3 since he got it, he absolutely loves it and says he can easily see it replacing his 21,35 and 40 ltd's
Ricoh's R & D budget is 10 times what Hoya's was.
Pentax is getting into more retailers, Jessops doing really well with the brand.
Full Frame no new news, but having a pretty much complete APS-C line-up means still likely for next year and would not be surprised if more than one FF model.
Recent lens price increases mainly due to exchange rates.

Above all else, it was just really good to have a go with all the kit, as most of the range was there. They will also do a deal on the day undercutting all dealers on the day. I picked up a 100 wr macro for under £500

P.S. The 645d's viewfinder was just wow!

Just leave it on all the time - the setting is in the menus so far too messy switching it on and off. You'd miss too many shots.
The K3 allows the SR to be toggled with one click of the Info button followed by one notch on the rear wheel - for which I had reason to be grateful only yesterday.
You can also assign SR to the RAW/Fx button on the K-3, which is the quickest way to turn it on and off.
