I have an old Video Camera (shoulder mounted JVC type - remember them!) that came with a large filter that you placed over the lens to set the White Balance. I assume this will also work with a camera lens?
Have to battle the loft and have a try.

The K10D is a truly great camera, I owned a *ist DS for 2 years that I did grow out of and this is certainly something that will not happen with the K10D! (Concern is whether I can grow into it!!)
Mind you , you could always buy a Nikon and give me all the lenses!!
Enjoy the K10D..

I am still a little confused though - you say the Motor is mounted in the body yet the latest lenses from Pentax will have supersonic motors, how will that work? Will this make the focus response quicker I assume.
I already have the standard 18-55 lens and surprised the 16-45 would give me much more in the way of field of view.
Looks like I shoould have bid higher for a Sigma 14mm that went on ebay for £ 160 recently!

Somewhat disconnected as it was an issue with the AF360 and the DS (but the K10D mention might get a speeder response as there appears to be a lot of activity on this forum for the K10D!) as well but wanted some sanity check....
I purchased the AF360 from John Lewis when it was 'Reduced to clear' for a bargain price of £ 75.00 !! It was sold as new stock as an ordered item that was never picked up. It works well and performs but.......
the automatic zooming function of the flash is hardly 'silent', is this a normal 'feature', or should I look at bringing this up with John Lewis?
I guess it's not that I am going to use it to stalk wildlife or the like but interested in anyones thoughts.
By the way anyone spotted the bargain used DS's for sale on ebay!!
