Anyone know a place who will convert to screw?..
That is twice the price I paid at John Pyle, the official repairer, for my 50-135.
Do you have contacts for John Pyle could be handy.

I am generally confused about the need for more AF points as rumoured for the newly announcements K Flagship.

Before I a) sell my DA* lenses or b) start syphoning off funds into that hidden PayPal account (to purchase said ‘flagship’). I could do with understanding more about the benefits.

I would genuinely like to be informed on the likely benefits. Is it likely to speed up focus capability of the DA* range and / or improve reliability of focussing over use of Live View focusing?

So far i do like what I see of the ‘physical’ appearance of the new model but need to boost up the ‘justification’ over my existing (lovely) K3.

I am thinking about investing in a ND filter set and Polarizer.

I have looked at the offerings from Lee and SRB but wonder about the practicality (and cost difference) of just investing in the ND Fader type (Circular) and Circular Polarizer. I have a range of lens that 77mm and 67mm will fit so a simple ring adaptor and the the 77mm Fader and Polarizer will cover it.

I just wonder what experience have of the use of the ND Fader type (ease of focus and optical quality)

Perfect information... thanks so much!

Thanks.

The concerns I have is the speed it takes to 'Read' a file to view back the last image. I presume that this is due to using a relatively cheap card and only a single card for JPG and RAW saving.

Is the speed of card relevant to the 'Read' component?

What is the maximum size of card that the K3 can access?

I am taking a laptop as well for archiving.

I am getting ready for an extended trip and conscious that I need to upgrade storage in my trusty K3.

What are the best options (size and speed) to purchase. I will consider purchasing 2 - 1 for JPG and second drive for RAW.

I thought the intention is to add 2 o 3 images not 50. But understand the graduated ND filter comment.

I have downloaded and enjoyed a very good 'Guide' to the K3 "Everything you need to know... and then some." - Yvon Bourque. (http://pentaxdslrs.blogspot.com/)

In this publication there is a suggestion to use the Multi Exposure setting as an alternative to using an ND filter to capture moving water etc. In theory it seems a great work around but just wondered what other views may be out there.

Thanks all, I must admit it has been an interesting 'learning curve' understanding the complexities of Focal Lengths and f Stops to consider those 'artistic' bokeh filled images rather than point and 'Auto Shoot'. A challenge for sure but something to develop a 'style' with all the variations of lens and settings. But I guess that is what Photography should be all about. I have learnt that how shallow the depth of field can be on certain lenses and probably explains the critical nature of accurate focus for some of these.

As soon as I typed that I realised! (Doh!)

I downloaded the DOF App for PC and the iPhone (but can't seem to change the camera sensor type in App or make any other adjustments) so next challenge.
