Thanks for the comments everyone...

Mike...you really should visit Wales, so many visitors to the UK miss it and it's one of the most scenic parts of the country.

Andrew...love that walk myself, we usually start in Trefriw walk past Llyn Crafnant to Capel Curig and then head back by passing the unfrequented Llyn Cowlyd, it's a long walk but well worth the effort

Thanks everyone...the shots span 5 years of my visits to Snowdonia, strangely despite 2012 being the wettest year on record I've managed quite a few of my best shots this year

Having spent a few weeks working on my completely new landscape photography website I've had the time to look through some of my old photographs over the years and noticed that Tryfan in Snowdonia has featured in quite a few...

Vic...sorry to catch you out but the Conwy Castle photograph was actually taken from Deganwy, it's a 250mm focal length shot, deliberatly so to try and get a slightly different angle on the castle...I also have quite a few more though taken from where you mention, so does everyone else who visits Conwy

Isn't there still a railway line there though? I used to go there regularly on holiday as my grandma lived in LJ, but it was some time ago. I'm picturing walking across the railyway line straight onto the beach. The Llanrwst road is south, surely?

Nice shots, though. Last time I went to Conwy to take photos it was quite dull (weather-wise), and I think the time before that was for the fireworks when the tunnel was opened.
Yes the railway line is still there, the photo was actually taken from the small stop in Deganwy.

If you went along the Llanrwst road there is a couple of viewpoints although they are more towards the back of the castle than the front like this one
