It's a 500cc Manx Norton, Pat. Not sure of the year, but I think the most recent were built about 50 years ago.

A slightly weird feeling, this weekend, watching the Chinese Grand Prix from afar. It's the first F1 event I've missed for quite some time, but I managed to find an engaging alternative at Brands Hatch. Do not adjust your screen: we had glorious sunshine in the morning and abject misery after lunch...

It's a Honda CB650, Jeff, although I'm no expert on bikes. I enjoy watching them, but have never really ridden. I was once press-ganged into taking part in a mini-moto race at Silverstone (on a track built in the paddock, rather than the full circuit). I was considered suitable because I had a bit of competition experience on four wheels (no, I didn't understand that, either), but had an almighty shunt before I'd completed a lap. I didn't get back on and haven't since...

I've finally sifted through most of last weekend's Mallory Park motorcycle racing shots. Work doesn't half interfere with one's hobby, sometimes...

Mallory take two? I took about 600 (most of them yet to be sorted). Some very nice shots there, Simon, particularly as you claimed to be semi-comatose...

I had a K-5 IIs on one shoulder and K-5 on t'other. These were all taken with the IIs, some with a Sigma 100-300 f4 and others (when light allowed) with a Sigma 150-500.

It took quite a while to suppress the blaze. On several occasions the flames seemed to be extinguished, but each time they reignited. It will take more than a dab of T-Cut to fix the consequences.

Almost 800 miles driven during three days at two circuits... then it takes the rest of the week to sift through all the photos. I must learn to keep up with my shutter finger.
