There's some info discussed HERE Dave.
I'd be interested in your experience with it when it arrives as I'm trying to figure out which versions have the closest focus abilities.

Martin, Gareth & Mikew all have versions of this lens I think.

The paint is quicker and I'm sure you can get Go Faster Chrome Wheels spray paint.

Hell, its worth putting some pin stripes on it as well and the ubiquitous blue LED. Hmmmm

Regards
Those blue LEDs could be used as focus assist lamps too !

I notice on the Pentax UK website they have a banner proclaiming the K-7 Digital Photo/Practical Photography "Gear Of The Year 2009" winner .. whatever that means.
I'd have gone for 1st as "Gear of the year" - pretty much essential for hill starts

I think the guy should now counter sue the couple for releasing his photos & sue every publication & site that have published his photos as he presumably still owns the copyright.

That'd really show the Law is an ass !

Either that, or he has sold his photos many times over & can afford to pay out from his profits.

Isn't 50mm a little long for indoors ?
Have you thought about a Sigma 30mm f1.4 ? or Sigma also do 20/24/28 all at F1.8. They've carved out a niche market with faster primes, although you do pay the price with the resultant size of the lenses.

I'd pay the nominal charge to get it back & have a crack at it myself. I've no experience, but for that few quid it's worth a try.

I have the Sigma 20mm f1.8 & love it. Mike, my recent "handbag" shots on flickr were using the Sigma 20mm.

I would think that it wouldn't appeal to you Mike as it's a rather large lens (82mm filter) & I know you like to pocket a few primes when out & about.
