I'm using ACR with my Samsung GX 10. Be interested to know what would be the best RAW converter you would recommend.

Thanks

Sorry if I'm reviving this topic against the wishes of others but I bet a few others like myself have been checking their cameras after reading the thread. I got the hot shoe spirit level on the camera and placed my Samsung GX 10 (sorry it's not a real Pentax but it was at a better price and I'm really pleased with it) on a tripod and guess what - the images did not lean. So all is well.

Not exactly. Looking back over the pictures I've been taking over the last 4 months there is quite a percentage that show a right lean. Now what's happening? It's not something noticeable on my pre - GX snaps using my Minolta and Canon film cameras. It's really bugging me. It could be something to do with the way I use the shutter release but that seems to activate easier than my old cameras. Not knowing exactly how a digital camera records an image could it be associated with a time lag in recording the image - I don't use the fastest SD cards. Could it be anything to do with image stabilisation. Or is it the onset of photographer's lurch - too much kit carried over my right shoulder!!

Anyway, hello I'm new here and the GX is my first digital camera. All I know is film and film developing and I'm fast trying to understand this new digital imaging world.

Cheers

Rod
