P.s. It's not a grey import nor a copy to the best of my knowledge.

This is by far and away my favourite lens. Super crisp shots combined with a nice wide aperture have given me some of the best shots I've ever taken.
Sad to see it go but needs must.

Lens hoods included. I'll also include a Lowepro Slingshot 100AW backpack.
Looking for offers around £250.
Any questions please ask. More photos available on request.

My question are these:
Has anyone else had experience of moving to FF from Pentax?
If so, what did you buy or what have you used?
Did you trade in your old Pentax gear, if so, where and what did you buy?
I'm currently considering the Nikon D600 as an option, any thoughts?

Rowmac - have a read through this thread:
https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/film-developing-and-scanning-to-cd-32974/...#comm_372870
See if there are any companies mentioned that you've heard of, or go by other members' recommendations. I'd have though there would be somewhere in Manchester that can help too. I'd suggest getting in touch with one or two photographic studios to see if they do something similar to what you're trying to achieve, and ask who they sub-contract such work to.
Hope this all helps you out!

Your main focus should be on image quality - do you want to digitally reproduce images that are "okay", or pristine reproductions? Do they need re-touched to enhance the image?
After this, I'd recommend/suggest cataloguing them (photos of a particular year, or holidays, or photos of your direct family, etc).
Bottom line is: how much do they mean to you from a posterity point of view that you would consider getting them professionally scanned and enhanced, or buy a piece of really good kit to do it all yourself, or what.
This is one I'd spend my winter evenings on. Best of luck with your project, Rowmac!!
Quality is quite high on my list. Some of the photos are quite small, perhaps only 2 or 3 inches square in some cases. My budget is somewhat limited but not small.
A friend had mentioned getting them professionally scanned but who does this sort of thing? Do you know anyone?

I have rather a lot of old family photos that I would like to scan distribute to other family members but also to preserve them. I don't really know where to begin with this as I've been told a few different things regarding what to do and how to do it.
Does anyone have experience in this area, a few hints and tips perhaps of what to buy (if anything) what to do and how to do it?
