Max magnification is 0.5x. See:
link
I've also used the D FA 50mm f2.8 macro (which is 1:1) and the A macro is perhaps better for travelling with, being more compact and the recessed front element means a hood isn't required in most situations. I've mostly used the A macro for hand held flower shots and I'm only selling as this is a second one I've acquired with some other kit.

Complete with original front and rear caps. Optics are clean and aperture is snappy. There's negligible wear on the aperture and focus rings. I've checked it over a range of apertures on a *istDS.
£120 ono (inclusive of recorded delivery in the UK). Will quote for posting overseas. Payment by paypal, cheque or transfer.

Hi Kris,
The K 30mm f2.8 has been described as having some of the 3-D effect of the 31 Ltd link- I can't say that I've noticed that, but it's very pleasant to use in terms of focusing and is reasonably sharp wide open. Perhaps it's subtleties will become more apparent as I get more proficient and/or upgrade to a K-5. I prefer the heft of the K series so it fits in nicely with the other lenses I have with a common 52mm filter ring size. I was lucky enough to get it second hand for £30 a few years back because it had some fungus, which proved easy to clean off.
Bill Wright in WGC has provided an excellent service in cleaning the odd lens for me(I think he's in the Yellow Pages).

Hi, Thanks for the advice. The blades are a bit more sluggish than some other M series lenses I have. I've tried flicking the stop down lever and retesting the exposure with the same result. If I keep the shutter speed at around 1/1000th sec I can get reasonable exposure at all apertures f2.8-22.
I've now decided to have it looked at by the local photo repair guy before reposting for sale.

Rechecked on the *istDS and found there is a problem of overexposure at lower aperture settings (i.e f5.6 -f 22) - possibly due to sluggish aperture blades (fairly common with Pentax 35mm lenses I believe)?
In view of this I'm happy to accept offers on the basis that this needs a repair.

The smallest Pentax zoom - good user reviews:

Clean optics, snappy aperture blades. Slight paint wear on the aperture ring. Complete with original front and rear caps and dedicated hard case.
£100 (inclusive of recorded delivery in the UK).
Posting overseas would probably be an additional £10 but I'd have to quote depending on destination.
Fffordes currently have a couple of these at £149-159.
