An excellent lens (as this image shows) - with only one flaw (IMO), it's size since I've got the D FA 21mm Limited I don't think I've used mine
Yes but turn up with that huge 15-30 and the crowd know you are a proper photographer!

Today's assignment, testing K1 and 15-30 lens' weather resistance! Thankfully it worked.

It's supposedly coming back tonight around 10.30pm

I won't be there waiting !
A night shot could be pretty special - if it is a steam train that is. Maybe take a long telephoto as well, come on you know you want to!

Nice one Urbanmeister, look out for the December issue (they plan six months ahead!). And thank you.

This is an American online-only subscription mag which my library gets so I can borrow it for free. It has a Facebook page and the editors select from photos posted there to include, emailing the photographers to send full size files and details. This month's issue, no. 115, has a couple of mine and a later issue will have three more; here are the screenshots the editor sent me which are pretty low res:

I remember walking an early winter morning and a dunnock was facing the rising sun, singing its heart out and its breath vaporising in the chilly air. A beautiful song and very welcome at that time. They aren’t related to sparrows, it’s other name is hedge accentor and their nearest relative is the alpine accentor in - you guessed it - the Alps.

It looks like you are enjoying yourself; that last one looks like a dunlin to me.

What a marvellous experience, very few people are lucky (or skilled) enough to stay this close to any wild animal. Young animals are so wonderfully curious, you can see them battling between shyness and inquisitiveness. Well done.

It's the Pentax AF160 FC Auto Macro Flash - for some strange reason it is no longer in production, and when it was it was fairly expensive. Every now and then they appear second hand, but they still seem to hold their price.
That's because they appear as rare as hen's teeth, I have been offered good money for mine but so far resisted.

Very nice sharp set of images here, nice.

Life here gets more weird by the day. This afternoon I answered the door to a delivery driver holding a large tortoise; I wish I had been quick enough to say it should at least have been properly parcelled up but it turns out he found it on the main road heading towards the Indian takeaway. My neighbour came over and claimed it, saying his wife must have left the gate open. Then this evening I get a call from Sharon wanting to meet me on Sunday night at the allotments - to document a man setting up a moth trap. Who says you need to live in the city to experience life?!
