Don't understand the 55 f/1.4 on a FF being unusual, Nikon, Canon and Pentax had their 55s. Nikon & Canon both had 55 f/1.2s!

It's all about the road less travelled with a lot of the Pentax folk. I choose Pentax because of the forums, and the Pentax fans talking about their pictures and how they took them. Seems to be less of that these days but still more than there is with other brands. Perhaps not deluded, but superior researchers. Amstrad 464, Nokia N9, Android tablet, Mercedes Benz C class for me to join the other comparisons.

This was taken 3 years ago with a K20D and a 28mm of some sort, could have been a Takumar f/3.5 or a Vivitar 28 f/2.8 CF (Komine). Anyways I have updated my version of Lightroom to 4.1 and have started redoing some of my original files. This was clipping on highlights on Rufus's back and I cropped out a shaded area behind.

Dunno really about the DA40, it will according to Falconeye's DA on FF thread on the American forum, vignette and have low quality corners from f/2.8 till f4-f/5.6 on a FF camera. I omitted it from my list based on Falconeye's published test results as losing a stop wide open is a non runner for me.

Anyone noticed that if you pass a dslr to someone that generally does not use a dslr that they don't automatically go to the viewfinder but hold it at arms length and ask why the screen does not show a picture? Strange... have noticed this peculiarity 3 times in the last couple of weeks, maybe I should be less generous with passing out the K-5
