Yes shim, I have friends in both the North & South of Ireland and the traffic across the border is unbelievable, particularly petrol. In May we stayed with friends in the South, after a couple of days they announced they were going to do their weekly shop, local supermarket I thought? no, a trip into the North were they filled up the car + petrol cans, did their shop at the Northern supermarket, clothes shopping, it was amazing how much they told me they saved.

The point I was trying to make earlier in the tread was, yes I accept the price rises due to exchange rates etc, but Pentax's predicted price rise is not in line with their competitors, IE, Canon & Nikon, by comparison Pentax's price rise as I said before is extortion.

Greenlife-Style body caps do cover the whole mount and fit very tight!

Sorry, there is no comparison, Pentax in optical quality over Sigma? no contest. Pentax, in optical quality is a market leader, I only wish somehow it could convince the punters.

Try: Greenlife-style (10517) on eBay, sorry don't know how to link, but have purchased Pentax body caps, lens caps etc. OK China/Hong Kong, but the quality is excellent.

It beggars believe, these price increases are extortionate, not the recession, not the pound v the dollar, not the pound v the yen, just Pentax being greedy, just like our MP's. Just ordered a Pentax wide angle in time and that will be it for some time!!

Had some bad experiences and poor results with mirror lenses from quality manufacturers and would not recommend them at all. You cannot compare a quality optical lens to that of a reflective mirror.

Picking up the thread on Jessops, they published their value on Tuesday and for the first time, had to admit to shareholders that is was likely that they would have their value of equity wiped out. The company made an increased loss before tax of over the six months to March 29 of £13m, up from over £11.1m last time. Over the half, like-for-like sales fell by 4.5pc. There is no interim dividend. Trading in Jessops' share price after it said it was "unlikely" that its equity will be worth anything over the eight weeks to May 24 fell by 3.6pc.
