Thanks for the help and the links. I really like the MEF, and hope to use it a long time.

I tried it, and it worked. I wish I knew this before, as over the years I've had this problem crop up and spoil some shots. Are the manuals and parts still available?

I jus found this thread after posting and receiving helpful replies on the "Troubleshooter" section. This may be what has happened to my MEF which has been underexposing. I'll give this a try!
