i have been running an AMD based rig for a couple of years now and it still does everything i throw at it, the spec is AMD Phenom 2, 3.4g 4 core, with arctic cooler mounted on it,Asus motherboard, ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card, 8gig ram,CoolerMaster HAF case. i feel that for a lot of people the AMD kit offers very good value for money and if your not into hard core gaming is more than adequate.

i believe you take a picture of brightly lit grass without the filter on, set a custom wb using this to use when you use the filter, can be done on K5. don,t know how you set up a custom wb on kr but it will be in the manual somewhere.

1. from camera to acr , where initial deletion is done.
2. save to internal hd ,year folder, sub folder with where and date. also saved to external hd(raw only)
3. pp in photoshop, lightroom, photomatix whichever is required.
4. save results as jpeg to internal hd, year folder, then sub folders where and when. also saved to seperate external hd (jpeg only)
need to buy more drives , thought about the nas route but it just seems a very expensive box. i do have an old computer but not sure if it would be man enough ,don,t know enough about cpu requirements for server use will have to do a bit of reading

Aysgarth falls as well if you are in Wensleydale , a triple set, unfortunately when we stayed there there had been no rain ,verging on drought conditions. no danger of that this year so the falls should be spectacular
