I quite like getting a "judging" or comment from different previous winners, but I can also see it might put people off entering the contest. Not everybody feels confident to give comments. But I also believe everybody has a valid opinion.
Maybe we should say limit it to the top three, that reduces the burden for time constrained people. I also like the variety of comment from different judges as we all see different things.
So in summary, my view is that the winner sets and judges the next one, at least for the top three, and don't be afraid to share your opinion (politely) no matter what your experience is, your views do count. This is actually a very safe environment.

Thanks, I'll check those things, it does focus manually. I'll clean it when I'm home next week, then debate whether to take a screwdriver to it or just call it a manual focus lens

Hi all, my 16-85 zoom lens has thrown up an issue. The autofocus works when focusing on a nearer object, but doesn't move when it needs to focus on a farther object. Had anyone else seen this?

Many years ago I sold my lovely Olympus XA, to go digital. I later wished I hadn't because it loved that camera. Then I saw the current prices. But a few weeks ago I spotted one in an emporium/antique shop, hidden in a dark corner. Perfect working order, and they wanted a tenner for it. Come to Daddy!
