So, it's finally back. Nearly 7 weeks, numerous phonecalls and a lot of promises and excuses later I finally have my K5ii(s) and 12-24 back in working order.

I have to be honest and say that I was not too impressed with Johnsons service. Initially they had to wait for parts (fair enough) but then they told me for 3 weeks on the trot that they had the part and would expedite my repair.
Eventually they admitted that they had had the wrong part for the last 2 weeks and hadn't done anything.

Eventually they got the correct part last Thursday and posted the camera back to me yesterday.

7 weeks for a one day repair job Not very impressed.

My 16-50 has gone to them, from SRS, for a warranty repair on the SDM. That was 2 weeks ago. Lets hope they can do a bit better this time

Can I just delete my original, flippant, remark and pretend all this didn't happen as I would hate to be the cause of any bad feeling.

If anyone actually ends up with a flu card that they don't want then perhaps they might put it in the classifieds and perhaps I might make an offer.

I don't think I've ever been so popular
I shall leave the competition open by offering to buy the card from whoever bites the bullet first and buys the package.
Either way I shall still get a bargain and I'm sure that the other will find another buyer on here quickly.

Wex didn't offer it at the time and I was in a bit of a bind as my K5ii(s) was away being repaired and I needed a camera to finish my portrait course homework.
Wex still don't offer the K3 packaged with the flucard.

Must admit I don't really want the flucard.
If you do go for the package deal, I'll take it off your hands for £50 +postage
I will go for the package deal but I think a 50% saving on your part is a bit extreme ... I can live with a 25% loss though
Mike, you have a PM.

I have just bought a K3 from Wex and ordered a grip from SRS both at non-package prices
As normal, for me, I either jump too soon or leave it too late

As per my previous post I ended up spending an evening in Newcastle. It was drizzling most of the evening but, tripod in hand, undeterred I headed off along the quay.
There were a variety of settings including AV, TV and manual. C&C welcome

I had to travel up to Newcastle on Thursday and managed to stop for 30 minutes at the Angel of the North. When I arrived it was raining and heavily overcast but I did manage to capture a few images. Because of the weather I was alone (sad I know) but it, once again, re-enforced by decision to buy Pentax

All images were taken with the K3 and 18-135 mostly in AV with various amount of compensation to try and get some detail in the sky. P&P in LR5 (which I know will not be to everyones taste).

As always C&C welcome:

I can give another vote for the 18-135. This is a fantastic walk about lens with good IQ and a very usable range.

I bought mine last week from SRS, as mentioned by Steve. Unfortunately the 10% code I tried didn't work

I have posted examples shot with this lens here: link and here : link
