The onboard Pentax SR is great and it will probably be mounted on a tripod anyways most of the time.

I heard somewhere that this version was noisy?

A friend is selling the Sigma 105mm EX macro lens BUT its not the OS version.

Does this really matter since Pentax bodies have SR built in anyways?

Its considerably cheaper than the OS version. anyone got any experience with these lenses?

I've been fortunate to try all the Sigmas (old and new) and still maintain the 150 500 to be much sharper.

hi guys

in previous photos Ive been told to go easy with tone mapping and to be careful with yellow hues.
Ive taken all those comments on board. This image has been "toned down" considerably in terms of HDR but i have kept the natural yellow tones in the scene and boosted them slightly in the reflection.
The 18-55 is letting me down perhaps a tad on the sharpness side but I have to make it do until I get something better.

With the new road map well and truly on its way now with the advent of the k5ii and lenses such as the 560mm etc is pentax likely to bring out the 1.4 tele converter that we've all been hoping for?

Hi guys. Yes i am using photo matix primarily to help me out with skies. I don't have ND filters and have found taking more than three images and layering them. Great thread and AND THANKS to all who commented.!

Thanks David. Its something that I am obviously struggling with. From now one I will be thinking hard about my yellows and greens!
As regards the sharpness of the image. I usually spend a lot of time on getting the focus point for my images and composition etc.
In a nutshell? The 18 55 just isnt sharp...

I look forward to the day when i get something else but its great to learn on.
