Well, that was one of the numerous lenses available, they have some nice limiteds as well, it was my choice to attach 60-250 as I know now more-less how it works, so I could compare...
As to the firmware, it seems that there is no final firmware yet, I wouldn't be suprised.
One more thing I saw on Steve's print out he's got from Japan, they mentioned "... sensor SEC", just checked and it looks SEC may stand for Samsung Semiconductors.
Starting price 1199 GBP, plus a small bit more for a pack with kit lens.
One more thing found on this occasion, seems it is very easy to recognise pre/production 60-250, pre one has no space between the lens and tripod mount (fin), while production one has a lot of space over there (enough to accomodate few fingers ).

Nice day so far .
I've been there, it was nice to meet Chris and Steve (representing Pentax). K7 feels nice in my hand, looks nice, (as I wrote weeks ago) new, quiet shutter is nice. It was still a pre-production - firware will change (so it is possible that results will be even nicer), hence I was only checking photos (they looked nice) on the LCD (and the new LCD is nice as well ).
Tried the build-in HDR inside the shop (light source in one corner, some black stuff in other, all the rest in the middle ), camera took 3 pictures, took some 10 seconds to produce a final image, which... was nice on the LCD .
One note, if you are going to try it with 60-250 that Pentax guys took with them, bear in mind that lens is a preproduction and I found focusing was 'not the best' with it (a lot of small-step hunting just around the focus point, AF-C somehow slow), bit surprised with the result I tried it with mine 60-250 and it was nicer .

one thing to be aware of too is that not all PC monitors are equal, the cheaper TN panels don't display colours particularly accurately, IPS, S-IPS, PVA are a better option
Worth to say that loudly, don't use TN panels if you are thinking of working with colour (means more than just a basic, casual). TNs are the worst option, you will quite easily find that i.e. colour temperature will have significant diferences in different places on the panel, so the colour will not be consistent across the panel (may be 6500K in one place, few inches further it may be 5500K, brightnes may differ, ...), terrible bad "angles", you move your head a bit away from the usual point and colours cre changing , etc, calibrating may help a bit (if you will keep your head always in the same position in front of the monitor ), but may make the final effect "not better" (depends on luck in getting better copy of TN pannel, they may even differ in within series).
IPS/PVA pannels are much better for colour work by definition, but still there will be worse and better ones.
Another thing wort to mention is if you are doing "hardware calibration", so changing stuff in monitor's LUT table, TN's usually have a 6-bit per color LUT, it means that posterization will happen even more offten, typical IPS/PVA may have 8-bit, good ones have 10 or even 12 bit (per colour) LUT, as well as good ones may be pre-calibrated (linear) in factory, have you ever wondered why good Eizo/NEC costs much more than others, that is part of the answer.

Btw Piotro, you used too much sharpening, you get a lighter edge around the out line of the rocks to the right.
True Anvh, but this is mostly because source jpg was sharpened and had halo around the edges, my (very delicate) sharpening just added contrast to it making it more visible.

Hi Roy, I like it. I hope you don't mind I've made an attempt to tweak it a bit (to my eye).

Thanks for comments.
Regarding the Sea King (I like the angle on this pic), but it was from the pier lift, there is a small balcony where I decided to try my luck from. There was not many (long lens) photographers that tried from there as well, maybe some 4 C users with 100-400L .

Few of mine photos from that airshow.
Unfortunatelly most of the time photo conditions were not good, despite no clouds and nice sun, mostly backlit.
I've decided to link photos I've uploaded to a plane photo gallery and here show a thumbnails only which you can click to get bigger photo on other uploaded on other website, in this way this topic will not consume many bytes of bandwidth when you open it and save me time to PP'ing these photos to an acceptable here size.
Critique appreciated.

Sorry, I'm having some problems linking these photos, so thumbnails are here, but don't work as links to bigger size, to see bigger one, click text link below thumbnail.

Keep it , a bit out of focus as you said somewhere, but his face shows something and that gives this photo a lot. Strangely enough the bushy, twisted eyebrow in the middle is something that got my attention for a while, it is like sort of symbolic thingy with all of these twists in all directions.

It is not showing always, but it hasn't gone, it just needs some combination of ISO, or whatever else may be involved to make this issue happen.
Hasn't sent it back yet, just discovered it, PPing some photos from Southend airshow and "tada", don't really want to send it back , airshows seasons just started and I have some other trips planned and would like to have the camera with me...
Some example (as it was before, distinct strip at the left strip, and then banding over whole frame), plus some nasty dirt spot , that is not a problem anyway . Example (just did "equalize" it shows it very well):

Great, not a full month after I've got mine K20D back from over a month long "repair" (probably one of the last ones before they outsourced it) and have exactly the same (looking) issue, and the season for airshows just started...
