I am hoping to get my mucky mitts on the K-5 at Photokina so I can get a feel for it before committing to it. I probably won't be able to handle it I know, but at least I hope to have a good look at it before deciding to order one (or not).
Edit:
I've just seen on the other forum a release date for the k-5 of the 22nd. Which is day 2 of Photokina and the day I am there. Not sure what to make of that.
I hope they do the announcing on the 20th. It would be just my luck for them to announce it at something like 5 pm on the 22nd, when I'm in the train home .

Flossie said you had no way of knowing where the focus point are but because of the brackets that isn't true.
If you, as photographer, choose the focus point then this is not an issue.

YRegarding focus points - if you have to look away from the viewfinder, its too late. Anvh suggests presetting to a fixed position for portraits - um, so how do you know if that position is on the persons eye or their ear, or worse still, the wall behind them - all you know is its (e.g.) "somewhere in the top left corner, sortof"... you need an indicator in the viewfinder. As I was a complete beginner when I bought the Kx, I wasn't aware as to why I might want focus points in the viewfinder - but when I borrowed a friends D90, it was a complete revelation!
